I get what you're saying, but I wouldn't define them the same way. And your first point was a great point: you should never fight in front of your children. Although I would add don't go into the other room and yell at each other either, because believe me, they can hear you. Even if you're not, you sort that out behind the scenes, not in front of the kid. There are some situations where functional autopilot is very effective though. Sometime you have to let a kid figure stuff out on their own. You don't want them to rely on you for everything, ya know? Being on the same page is EVERYTHING.
